Agaezi National Union (ANU) Statement
Broken hearts, unyielding courage.
In Ethiopia, Habesha Agaezi Ethiopians, Orthodox Christians, and other innocent communities are under systematic attack and genocide.
Affected regions include: Wolega, Arsi, Tigray, Eritrea, Benishangul-Gumuz, Metekel, Welkait, Hararghe, Harar, Gedeo, Gurage, and Somali areas. Families are massacred. Villages razed. Churches and mosques burned. Entire communities erased. The blood of the defenseless stains the soil—yet the world remains silent.
Human rights reports and survivor testimonies reveal:
Villages wiped out.
Children orphaned.
Priests and elders murdered at the altar.
Women subjected to gang rapes.
Since 2020 alone, millions have died, with documented massacres surpassing 2,003,000 victims. These are systematic, targeted crimes against humanity, committed by TPLF, EPLF, and federal forces of Prosperity alike.
Abiy Ahmed, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has betrayed peace itself—deploying drones, heavy artillery, and military forces against his own citizens. Instead of protecting life, his government commits atrocities history will never forgive. He is collaboratively working with TPLF and EPLF forces to wipe out the Habesha Agaezi Ethiopians history, heritages, cultures and generations.
We call on all leaders, activists, and people of conscience:
Do not look away.
Demand justice.
Pressure international institutions to act.
Silence is complicity.
Let us be remembered as the generation that refused to let the blood of Habesha Agaezi in Tigray, Gurage, Harar, Gedeo, Somali, and Eritrean communities be forgotten. The generation that defended faith, dignity, and humanity against tyranny.
