The Agaezi National Union (ANU) stands in solidarity with the Afar people against the continued incursions and attacks by the TPLF in the Afar Region of Ethiopia.
We condemn the cross-border aggression, attacks on civilians, and destruction of property. The Afar people have every right to live in peace, protect their land, and preserve their heritage.
We call upon:
The TPLF to immediately withdraw and respect Afar territory.
The Ethiopian federal government and Afar regional authorities to secure the region and protect its people.
The international community to monitor human rights violations and provide urgent humanitarian assistance.
The ANU affirms: Afar lives, land, and culture matter. Justice, peace, and unity for Geezawit Ethiopia demand immediate action.
